We are proud to announce that the White Lion Hotel conversion has been awarded the ‘Best Change of Use of an Existing Building’ at the LABC North West Region awards 2020.

The scheme involved the refurbishment of a dilapidated, but iconic, former pub and hotel in the Underbank area of Stockport to form 11 affordable apartments and ground floor restaurant area.

Working in collaboration with Stockport Heritage Planners and THT Homes, the extensive refurbishment and remodelling was carried out with The Casey Group as Main Contractor, Anderton Gables as Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors, Renaissance Associates as Structural Engineers and Preston Lee Chambers as Mechanical and Electrical Engineers. Building Inspector role was carried out by the SMBC Building Control Team.
