We were appointed to extend an existing detached dwelling to increase the open plan kitchen and dining area with improved connection to outside.

Our solution was to offset the vertical support of a cantilevered roof structure, which allowed the bi folding door elevation to be completely removed and be opened up, with a level threshold and matching floor finishes inside and out, which essentially extends the room size into the garden.

The landscaping scheme comprised rendered walls and locally sourced stone gabion baskets to retain an existing sloped banking to frame a sunken courtyard space.
