IT Systems
The Practice operates a fully networked computer system that is designed with the potential to fully integrate with client extranets and web based file systems.
The design teams make use of the latest software versions of Architectural Desktop, AutoCAD LT, Autodesk 3D Studio VIZ, Sketchup and Adobe Photoshop. 3D Modelling facilities are available in house using a dedicated high powered render station.
Project specifications are prepared using NBS Building software. Additional technical support is provided by subscription to web based services from Barbour Services, British Standards Institute, NBS Building Regulations and NBS Access.
The Practice uses Archetype, software designed as a single access point for all project information which combines Practice, Document and Information Management into one integrated system. There are over 50 modules including email, contact and document issue control that allows users to keep efficient control over the management of the project.
Timeminder is a time management software package used as the office standard for planning, recording and tracking staff time across the office and on individual projects. The web based software initially allows for the planning of projects and the staff resource employed, and then enables the user to track the actual performance against the plan. The monitoring of projects by this manner allows the efficient use of resources and the ability to ensure that design services are provided on programme.
